Introduction
There are two fundamental pre-requisites for the attainment of salvation:
- To worship the idols Shri Jina, who gave enlightenment to the whole world, with complete devotion.
- Knowledge oriented devotion to strive for a goal.
At Koba, these two pre-requisites have been merged into one – Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra. It has become the pioneer institution for the promotion and propagation of Jain religion and philosophy. It is a center of not just one or two activities but it has become a host to an entire gamut of religious activities.

Acharyadev Padmasagarsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb, a disciple of Acharyadev Kalyansagarsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb, the holy torch of the cultural and religious traditions of Jain philosophy, literature and art have been kept alive at Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra.
Establishment
Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra was established on the 5th day of the dark half (Krishna Paksha) of the month of Paush in the year v.s. 2037 (26th Dec 1980) by the most revered Acharyadev Shri Padmasagarsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb, with the blessings of Gachchhadhipati Acharyadev Shrimad Kailassagarsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb.
